Milia and Chondra, 2025

Brooch in repurposed polyurethane, acrylic, sterling silver

13 x 11.5 x 5 cm

The name comes from the flower coral called Eusmilia Fastigiata and the Irish moss seaweed Chondrus crispus but there are other water creatures depicted as well. ‘Milia’ is one big party of corals, sponges, nudibranchs and Irish moss. Joined together they intend to swim the summer night away while showing off their sparkling colours and inescapable optimism.
