Luzia Vogt

Initialement formée comme joaillière, Luzia Vogt a développé une compréhension conceptuelle du bijou à l’Université de Pforzheim en Allemagne, où elle obtiendra son diplôme en 2004. De 2002 à 2003, elle s’inscrit au NSCAD University à Halifax dans le cadre d’un programme d’échange étudiant. Représentée par la galerie depuis 2001, elle a eu deux expositions duo en 2006(avec Natalie Luder) et 2015 (avec Katja Prins), et a été commissaire de l’exposition Naturel/Artificiel en 2012. Elle a pris part à de nombreuses expositions internationales.

“The found object, a discard from the utilitarian world lays idle awaiting destruction, renewal or metamorphosis. A found object is a reminder of a person’s presence, a witness of time. With intuition, I transform these pieces leaving my own traces on them. Common ways of looking at things and values in society are being questioned. The results are bringing up memories and are playing with the imagination.”
