At random moments in our daily lives, we may recall memories, think about others or society, or have a new idea flash upon us. When we see, eat, touch, smell something, hear a sound, etc., the various elements that we feel in our body become switches for our thinking. Jewelry is also one of the switches of thinking.
Takashi Kojima was born in Kyoto and grew up in a home where his father was a Japanese Painter, and his mother was a craftsman. He has received acclaim both in Japan and abroad for his concepts that incorporate the context of jewelry and contemporary art, and his constructive jewelry designs. In recent years, he has been involved in a wide range of activities, including solo exhibitions at contemporary art galleries, directing jewelry brands and running a jewelry symposium organization.
